I upgraded Fresco20 to the latest version of WordPress using the Automatic Upgade plugin. Since this is the first time I used the plugin and performed an upgrade, I was a little nervous. What if things would break along the way? I’m a newcomer.
Automatic Upgrade was nice enough to ask me to perform a backup before allowing me to go ahead with the upgrade. It went really well. I only had to enter my FTP account information because I didn’t change the WordPress folder’s permission to “write”. The rest was reading instructions and clicking “next”
After that I headed to WordPress homepage to see what the upgrade was about. Here’s the info:
A vulnerability in the Snoopy library was announced today. WordPress uses Snoopy to fetch the feeds shown in the Dashboard. Although this seems to be a low risk vulnerability for WordPress users, we wanted to get an update out immediately. 2.6.3 is available for download right now. If you don’t want to download the whole release to get the security fix, you can download the following two files and copy them over your 2.6.2 installation.
